Do I Need to buy Tenant insurance?

Although you are not legally required to buy tenant’s insurance, some private landlords will only approve tenants that agree to buy it.  We also recommend it to our tenants because the basic insurance is usually very affordable.

What Should I Expect when I Move-out?

You should inform the managment company of your move-out date to make sure there are no penalties for moving out early.

The unit should be cleaned and repaired if there is any damage cause by the tenant.  Items like light bulbs should all be working or returned in the same state during the move-in inspection.  If it is not, the cleaning and/or repair costs will be taken out of the damage deposit.

Next you should inform the Strata management to arrange a move-out date.  You maybe required to pay a move-out fee and put down a move-out damage deposit to the Strata management.  (This deposit should be refunded once the move-out is complete without incident).

After everything  is completed a move-out inspection will be conducted.  Keys will be returned, and documents will be signed to close the lease.  If everything is in order, your deposit will be returned within 14days.
